Chatsworth Road, Chesterfield

Rusted beer can
How delightful that Nature
takes a share

The River Hipper
constrained by concrete
and underground pipes

Factory Wasteground
Who lived in those buildings
overseeing steel?

Handsome arch
A shed at the far end
of an unkempt garden.

Boarded-up terrace
Were the tenants evicted
or did they skip away?

Cemetery padlock
Does it keep the living out
or the dead in?

Artist's Trading Card
one of a kind sent out
as an olive branch

I noted that Gina commented on the amount of garbage that lies around. I know you can see the reclamation occurring - but still - just defacing the earth like that bothers me - a lot.

Again - thought provoking pics. Very interesting Rachel.

Nathalie - not a graveyard - a cemetery (no church) -- but yes indeed!

Jasfoup will be published soon, Olga!

Aims - I like rust because it is mature reclaiming from Man

mature what Rach?? (Sorry, being facetious). I, like aims, would rather they didn't drop the bloody can in the first place. We have a local alcoholic farmer and he goes to my lovely woods and leaves his Fosters cans there. Grrrrr. I think I'll collect them up and drop them in his front garden. Rant rant.

Love the ATC btw Rach. Who did you upset?? I also love the one you sent to me with my cards. On my fridge at this moment. I'm lost now, do I owe you one??

Gina - I didn't upset anyone - that one is going to Sam because she sent me one (olive branches growing from over there?)

You don't owe me any because you gave K two!

Sorry about the teeth marks on one of the ones I sent back - Bear 'found' them.

lol, I had noticed the teeth marks, they made me laugh! Sam will be delighted I'm sure, as am I with mine.
