Haiga - WOTD - volte-face

volte-face \vawlt-FAHS; vawl-tuh-\, noun:
An about-face; a reversal, as in policy or opinion.

I tried a volte-face
about Catholic dogma
they're easy targets.

Made me smile!

My word of the day - well it goes for 2 days over the weekend -

Parvenu - a person who has suddenly risen to a higher economic status but has not gained social acceptance of others in that class.

(guess I have no fear of this ever happening to me)

My shoe of the day: Teal satin pumps with tulle pompons. The pompons have a bit of glitter in them. 1950's. (would be a nice shoe without the pompons - maybe)

Ah! The neuveau-riche!

I doubt I'll ever be parvenu either!
