I love the patterns in the brickwork on this picture, particularly where it looks as if a window has been taken out and bricked up.
Thanks Neil. I think there's something special about old brick walls.
I agree with neil. There used to be a tax on windows so lots of them were bricked up at one time and people often didn't bother to open them up again.
Very true, but that was 1696-1842 and I doubt the building is quire that old!More likely it was bricked up during the last war.
They all look so well behaved!
To be fair, they are tied to a bolt in the wall!
I hadn't though of that Rachel, that's most likely the case then.
